This is because the thing I did in underland is very bloody and cruel.
If everyone treat me like they treat my sister, I think I will also be a kindness girl, or maybe become a good queen in underland.
From I was born, everyone thought I am a stranger, because I had a bigger head than any other in my family. Even this, my parents loves me, they always said “Iracebeth, your head is the cleverest head in the world, the things in your head are treasure.” Even I knew this was just the word they wanted to make me happy, I still thanked them. The childhood in the life is unforgettable .
When I was 3 years old, my sister Mirana was born. In my eyes, she was the best girl in the world. She was beautiful, kindness, and happy. She always followed me and called me Racie. I love her, like she loves me. I was proud that I had such a good sister.
But something changed between my parents and I. they put all their attention on Mirana. I knew this is because she was the little sister. I didn’t care about that. I am the eldest; I will be the queen of underland.

White queen
I am Mirana, the white queen of underland. Now the life in underland is peace and quiet. That is because I banished my elder sister to the outland of underland. She did numbers of bloody things in underland. I had to banish her. Even I love her.
From I was born, I was a happy girl. Everyone loved me, my parents, the citizen of underland, even my sister Iracebeth. My sister is the best sister in the world: she often played with me, read story for me. In my eyes, she was the lovely sister, her big head was cute.

Fan Fiction Final - A walk to Remember

“Yep, you’re pregnant”
That’s not the usual way a doctor would inform a happily married couple with the news that they are expecting a baby. No congratulations. No warm smile. That’s because our situation is different, not by choice, by fate.
It was no surprise to me that I was pregnant though. Over 1 week late (and I have never been late for anything in my life) followed by morning sickness 3 days in a row. It doesn’t take a rocket science to figure that one out.

Leukaemia, terminal, treatments. The three words that I can’t escape and are forced to live with everyday. I have accepted it though and so has Landon. Instead of dwelling on the fact that my life is coming to an end before it’s barely started, we focus on making the most of the time I have left. A baby was definitely not part of the plan and from the doctors tone of voice, It’s obvious he’s no bearer of good news.
“As you know, we can not carry on treating your Leukaemia with Chemotherapy if you are pregnant, especially since you have reached a terminal stage in your illness.”
The Doctor just reminded me of those three painful words all in one sentence. Leukaemia, terminal, treatments.

The doctor broke the silence, “I know this is a huge decision to make, but please take a couple of days to think about it and then get back to me, the sooner the better”. I don’t know how but I managed to pick myself up and walk out of the doctor’s office. Luckily Landon came with me today because there’s no way I could have been able to drive. The ride home was painfully silent, both me and Landon were too scared to say a word. I was trying to let the feeling sink in but how was I meant to with an ultimatum like this..

If I choose to keep the baby, I have to stop my chemotherapy and chances are I will only be around for a few months of the baby’s life OR if I choose to terminate the baby, I can carry on with my treatments and live a normal life for another strong 5 years. And to think only a few hours ago, picking which dress to wear to the doctors was my hardest decision for the day.

We couldn’t avoid the topic all day so it was me who finally broke.
“Landon, say something”
“There’s no way I’m letting you give up 5 years of your life, this baby won’t be fair on either of us.” He replied.
He couldn’t be serious.
I can’t kill a baby just so I can live an extra 5 years, this baby would be like my replacement. Every cloud has a silver lining they say.
“I’m going to die anyway” I’m stabbed back at him
“Do you really want this baby to grow up without a mother? As sinful as it may sound, but in the future I could not look this baby in the eye without the reminder that they are the reason you were taken from me, I’m sorry, but it wouldn’t be fair to bring a baby into this world with circumstances like that.”
With that, I stormed out of the house and made my way to the place that knows me better than I know myself, church.
It was empty like I hoped it would be. It didn’t take long for the pastor to come and sit next to me, he knew something wasn’t right. He was only here to help so I told him about the doctor’s visit this morning, I was desperate for any advice. Well storming out of the house and coming here turned out to be the right thing to do. The pastor assured me I wasn’t the first person he had come across in my situation and that there were others out there suffering the same as me. He explained to me there have been unlucky cases like mine where the patient decides to terminate the baby, and they then suddenly pass away months later. There have also been happy endings where the patient decides to risk it and keep the baby, and the mother is still living to tell the story.
“You really have to leave it up to fate and trust it will do it’s job. It’s impossible to know what the right decision is right now, have faith.” The pastor left it at that as he got up and walked back to the stand. He was right, I just needed to trust fate. I’m going to have this baby and I’m going to live I thought to myself. My heart suddenly dropped, how was I ever going to convince Landon, he had a good point that bringing this baby up would be unfair. He would never listen to me. I dragged myself out of my seat and started to head out the door when right there, just 5 rows behind me, was Landon. He had followed me down here and heard everything the pastor said. He looked me in the eye and I knew he was on my side now. Now all I can do is leave it in the hands of fate.

Half an hour later, many people have arrived to the hospital. Lily’s mother Cece, her daughter Eric and her husband Rufus were the earliest. They were at the reception doing the paper work and paying for the operation as Dan and Vanessa, who are also friends with Chuck came.
“How is he?” Dan was worried.
“I don’t know. The doctor is still in the operation room. But luckily, he said Chuck didn’t lose much blood. So he should be fine.” Rufus explained.
“Oh poor kid. He has lost his father, his mother betrayed him, and the only person he cares about the most, Blair is gone. Now someone just gave him a bullet! How miserable could he be!” Lily said with tears.
“Don’t worry, he will be fine.” Cece gave her a hug, tries to comfort her daughter.
Everyone fell into silence. They are waiting, hoping Chuck would be fine.
Another half an hour later, the operation light is off. Lily and Rufus walked to the door as quick as they can, waiting for Chuck and the doctor. Thirty seconds later, Chuck was out. He was lying in the bed. His eyes were closed, tightly, but a name came out of his mouth: “Blair.”
Everybody was looking at each others; they did not know what to say. The doctor’s coming broke the silence.
“Doctor, how is he?”
“Mr. Bass is fine now, but he needs rest. He should be staying in the hospital and we will do several checks to make sure that his body is fine.”
“Thank god!” said Lily.
“And one more thing, this is maybe none of my business, but seems like the Blair girl is really important to him, if you can make her come, that will be very helpful for him.” After finishing this, the doctor left.
Silence, again.
“Well, I’m going to check on Chuck.” Vanessa broke the silence. Then she left with Rufus and Dan. Eric followed them.
“So, what do you think?” Lily turned around to her mother.
“About what?”
“What else could it be? Should we tell Serena and Blair?”
“Oh, I didn’t aspect that you will give a chance to give opinions from your poor mum.” Cece was joking.
“Mum.” Lily stared at her, arms around her chest.
“OK. I think that…”
Cece didn’t have a chance to finish her statement, because Nate interrupted.
“Excuse me, Lily and Cece. Sorry about my interruption. May I have a sentence?”
“Oh Nate! I haven’t seen you since I got here. Where were you?”
“I was at the back f the hospital, thinking about whether we should tell Serena and Blair about it.”
“Well then, tell us your answer, should we or not?” Cece looked at him, asked with a big interest.
“I don’t think we should tell the girls about Chuck. They were hurt, I mean Blair, and she was hurt by Chuck and Jenny, and now that Blair’s gone, she’s obviously trying to leak the wound by herself. So maybe we should give her some time, let her be alone, when she’s ready to come back, I think maybe that is the time we tell her what had happened to Chuck.”
Cece looked at him and smiled, she tapped Nate’s shoulder for a few times. Then she said: “Nate, I can understand what you are worrying about, but the fact is, the truth never sleeps. Besides, Blair has the right to know. I think we all know, although Blair said there are over, she still loves Chuck very much, doesn’t she?”
Nate didn’t say anything.
Cece dialed Serena’s number in Paris.
“Bonjour! Hello Grandma!” It sounds like Serena’s very happy right now.

Jenny remembers that night, the night Blair came to Chuck’s house and told him that she’ll accept him; the night Chuck was going to propose to Blair; the night everybody thought that Chuck and Jenny had slept together.
They actually did nothing. They were lying beside each other for a while, and then Jenny got up, seating on the bed. After a while, so did chuck.

Felicity

Christof may have controlled the first thirty years of my life, but I wasn’t going to let him dictate my future. Not many people can say that their entire life was a lie. Not many people can say that they’ve never met anyone real, only actors. How would you feel knowing that your wife was fed the line “I love you”? It’s hard to fathom I know but that was my existence. Ever since my escape from Seahaven, I’ve been living a re-birth of sorts. It’s remarkable knowing that every decision I had ever made up until this point was manipulated. Everything from the sweater I wore, down to the spoon in my cereal had been chosen for me. The rain drops that I assumed were falling from the sky were merely water vents designed to create the illusion of an element. It was all fake.

There was however an exception in the form of Sylvia. From the moment I met her I knew she was the one. My marriage to Meryl was nothing but a sham. Christof tried to make me love her from the start and for a while the manipulation worked. It’s easy to fabricate feelings when you’re desperate to feel something, but how could I trust someone who favoured Febreze over my ambitions? I wanted to see the world and Meryl wanted to see the mall. There was nothing spontaneous about her and in time I knew that I could never truly love her. The day I slipped on the sidewalk was the day that changed everything. She was the only one who stopped to see if I was okay. I remember thinking that there was something not quite right about that. The rest of the street just walked on by like robots. She didn’t have to stop you know I was quite capable of helping myself; but she did. There was something genuine about her face that day and I knew I had to see her again.





Two weeks went by until I saw her again. She was standing outside the bakery across the road, so I jumped at the chance to talk to her. I wouldn’t normally go to this bakery but I was tiring of my usual routine and thought what the hell; I was allowed to be friendly right? Wrong. My attempts to connect with her were squashed by Christof and she was immediately removed from the show. It took five steps in her direction before a sudden car crash made it impossible to get to her. At the time this seemed unbelievable, but now I can actually laugh about it. How I stayed so ignorant all those years is beyond me. As soon as I escaped from Seahaven, Sylvia was there waiting for me outside of the studio gates. Apparently once she left the show she started protesting for my release and was thereby banned from the premises. I couldn’t believe it once I found out. On top of everything there were people out there who wanted me to be free and Christof did everything in his power to try and shut them up. I even heard rumours of death threats. Many people thought I would seek revenge upon my release but what would that achieve? The biggest bitch is karma I say so let her do her job.

Sylvia and I chose to put the past behind us months ago and have never been happier. We already have a baby together called Felicity who is the light of our lives. She looks just like her mother but has the spirit of her father and is constantly looking for new places to explore. I don’t know what I’d do if any harm came to her. Not many people know this but upon my release from the show I received a letter from Christof stating that when the time is right my first child will suffer the same fate I did. I’d never want this information released however as all we want is to live a normal life with the same level of privacy as anyone else. I know it will never happen but I have to try my best for Felicity’s sake. Imagine the media frenzy if the press got a hold of the letter? He is so bitter about the demise of his show that he is determined to start afresh, his dream of course being Felicity to play the star.




What he meant by “when the time the time is right” I will never know but due to the nature of the situation (and my paranoia) I have Felicity under constant surveillance. I don’t know what drives me crazier, the fact that my child is under the same scrutiny that I once was, or that somebody could be so obsessed with reality television that they would risk everything to get what they want. By everything I mean his very life. I swore to myself that if Christof ever came near my children he would be a dead man. It would be a quest to say the least as he’s locked up these days, but I truly believe that there are no boundaries with that man and he will stop at nothing to get what he wants. I should check on Felicity actually, she’s been quiet over the monitor for a while now and I promised Sylvia that we would do something special as a family tonight. It is after all, a year since my escape…

Kat and Bianca’s mother is hardly mentioned in the movie, we just know she passed away when the girls were younger. This fanfic is about Kat at her mother’s funeral and the memories she has. A good read but overloaded with emotion and a clique ending.

This story starts with Kat receiving the news from her doctor that she has cancer and only has 40 days to live (hence the title). She is more worried about how she is going to tell Patrick this news but when she does he is overly supportive and promises to give her the best forty days and night of her remaining life. The cancer is going to spread over Kats heart so the writer takes the heaviness out of the story by using lines such as “I was heart-broken, (excuse the pun).”


10 things i hate about you - Two years on

Kat has moved away to do her studies at Sarah Lawrence so her and Patrick decided to separate but remain as friends. As she goes her own way in life she is forever thinking about Patrick even while dating other guys. It has been nearly ten years since she last saw him and they didn't bother to keep in touch for long. One day Kats friend rings her with the news that Patrick died of a heart attck at just 28 years old. This is a well written story with poems to Patrick and the date of his death is the 22nd of Janruary 2008. This is significant because eit is the date that Heath Ledger died and Heath Ledger played Patrick in the movie ‘10 things I hate about you’.

The Grinch

In the original movie, the Grinch is portrayed as a heartless person as he tries to steal Christmas. This fanfic story goes 1 year into the future and the Grinch now is starting to appreciate Christmas and is living with his girlfriend Martha May Whovier. The story takes away the whole point of the Grinch hating Christmas which he is known for and why people enjoy watching him.


Glee – 5 years on “good times”

All the people from glee club have gone their separate ways with some owning their own business’s and others trying to make it big on Broadway. Rachel then organizes a surprise reunion for everyone and they all come together and reminisce on the “Good times” they had in Glee club. Quinn and puck are reunited and fall back in love with each other. Kurt owns his own clothing range called ‘Hummel & co’ and Rachel is doing broadway work (which didn’t surprise anyone. The reunion makes everyone miss glee club so they agree to keep in touch with each other from now on. This story was written in a very formal tone so it made me think about the story in a more serious context. Overall I enjoyed seeing where the glee cast would be in 5 years time.


19 years later. Twilight

This story is about the Cullen family returning to their old home town Forks and going back to school. Because they are vampires, they never age so Bella and Edward are stuck as 17 year olds for the rest of their lives and have to swap towns before anyone notices that they haven’t aged. A cocky student named Ian takes a liking to Bella and then tells his dad about his new crush. He explains to his dad about Bella Cullen and her Boyfriend Edward. “Realization and confusion dawned on an almost 40 year old Mike Newton.”. This part of the story was the key point as Mike went to school with Bella and Edward 19 years ago when they too were his age. I thought this story was well written with Ian and Bella’s point of view both being portrayed. It also finished with a good twist.


19 years on – High school musical.

This story also goes 19 years into the future and only focuses on the 2 main characters of Troy and Gabriella. After graduating from East high, the two got married and then had kids. They both continued acting, mainly in theatre and have a 13 year old boy and a 11year old girl. Troy was now a gym teacher and basketball coach and Gabriella worked at a family law counseling centre. This story was too cheesy for me as they came off as the perfect American typical family as everything in their lives was good but also seemed fake.

Glee – 12 years later

This story is based on the character Quinn. Most Glee stories that I’ve looked at are based on her even though she wasn’t the main character. In the last episode viewed of Glee, Quinn has her baby and in this story she keeps it. It then goes on to tell her life story of how she went to college and got married and is know pregnant with another child. She has gone back to McKinley high school as a teacher and also teaches the cheerios cheerleading squad that she was once captain of. She hasn’t kept in contact with any of the other Glee members but is going to an upcoming reunion where she hopes to see them all again. This story was a good read as it wasn’t all ‘happy families’ and it didn’t have any deaths or tragedies. Nice to have a lightweight story for a change.

Remember Me – 11 years later

In this movie, the main character dies at the end leaving a grieving family and a pregnant girlfriend. He died from the 9/11 and this story carries on 11 years into the future. His family (including his 10 year old son who he never got to meet) visit his graveyard every Saturday. They then go to his favourite diner and talk about his life and how happy he would be that they have all stayed together. This was a good read and I liked how the family kept positive over the tragedy. Most fan fiction stories I’ve read that have a male character who dies usually leave behind a girlfriend or wife who then find out they are pregnant. This story was predictable in that sense but otherwise was well written with the right amount of dialogue.

He's Just Not That Into You “The Nightclub”

This fan fiction starts off with the familiar scene of Alex telling Gigi that if a man is not calling her, he simply is not that into her. Tired of being confused by the wrong kind of men, Gigi feels frustrated and turns to Alex for support. In the hope of raising her spirits Alex suggests that they go to a club to find Gigi a guy. Soon after they enter the bar Alex plans to leave Gigi alone in order for a man to approach her. Gigi soon meets a guy called Mike and after a few too many drinks finds herself in a dangerous situation. Up until this point I was enjoying the story however the rape storyline was a bit much for such a light hearted and comical movie, the writer went a bit off track in my opinion. The end was also cheesy with Alex rescuing Gigi from the creepy Mike before finally confessing his own love for her.

He’s Just Not That Into You “His Exception & Her Candor”

There is a lot of emotive language within this fanfic which is already beginning to bore me. Lines such as “He closed his eyes and breathed in her scent for the 100th time that night” are very cheesy which is making it hard for me to take this writer seriously. The entry focuses on the blossoming love between Alex and Gigi which a lot of fans will enjoy however as the movie itself didn’t divulge much information about their new relationship. The writer did however succeed in leaving her readers wanting more, with many reviewers asking her to continue the story.

What A Girl Wants “What They Both Want”

This short piece of writing is based around two of the main characters in the film, Daphne and Ian. Their romance blossoms in the film and this fanfic continues the story of young love by depicting the two living together in a London flat. It definitely grabs your interest if you are a fan of the movie as the writer leaves you hanging for more details about their new life together. The writer does however drift in and out of narrative, addressing the reader themselves within brackets which are distracting. Luckily for her I love the movie “What A Girl Wants” and the idea of the two main characters ending up together is enjoyable and I would probably continue to follow the story if the author adopted a more professional writing style.

What A Girl Wants “Conformed”

This fanfic was brief, but read like it was lifted right off the movie script. The dialogue seemed genuine and I enjoyed the use of language. The ending was different to that of the movie with Ian and Daphne growing apart due to her conforming to the expectations of her royal family. Ian is disappointed in Daphnes eagerness to become a debutante as it was her individuality that made him fall in love with her. One of the most memorable lines from the movie is, “Why are you trying so hard to fit in, when you were born to stand out?” This line really encapsulates the character of Daphne so I’m not sure if the hard core fans will approve of an ending where she has conformed. In saying that, it’s well written so I’m sure others will appreciate it as I have.

The Notebook “The Night at the Carnival”

The first thing I did upon reading this fanfic was laugh. It starts off with the classic movie scene of Noah begging Allie to go on a date with him by attaching himself to a moving ferris wheel and refusing to get down unless she agrees to a date. In the movie he is promised a date by Allie and hops back into the carriage of the ferris wheel, much to the amusement of the crowd. In this version however he plummets to the ground, breaking his spine and killing a passenger on the way down causing him to be paralysed for life! As tragic as it sounds, it’s a pretty funny spin to such a classic scene. I’m glad that this wasn’t the actual end to the scene but it’s so well written that I could definitely imagine it happening. Perhaps Allie could have fallen in love with Noah regardless of his now paralysed state…

The Notebook ”A Lifetime Of Love”

After noticing this fan fiction had 193 reviews compared to the usual four or five, I decided to see what all the fuss what about. The story basically starts where the younger story of Noah and Allie (Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) finishes in the movie. It’s very well written and perfectly captures the situation between the two characters. It’s not corny like the other ‘Notebook’ stories I’ve read and fills the gaps that the movie left out, such as the development of Noah and Allies young love before they grow old together. I’m not sure at this stage if I want to base my own fan fiction on a romance, but this is definitely a good example of how to write the romance genre well.


Juno “Tic-Tacs and Stretch Marks”

This fanfic is set two years into the future where Juno is now facing graduation and on the cusp of eighteen. As their teenage years slip away, Juno and Bleeker now have to face up to the fact that they have a future to begin and 9 profound months to evaluate. The story itself is so well written that fellow reviewers comment that it’s as if the movie stars wrote the script themselves. She makes some interesting language choices throughout, capturing Junos unconventional way of speaking. The story describes how Juno decided on adoption and the crazy reality that although she went through pregnancy, she is not in fact a mom at the end of it all. Its unclear how she truly feels about this as the author never confirms her real feelings. This only adds to the mystery of the piece however.

Juno “Part time Lover, Now Unemployed”

In this fanfiction Juno decides to break up with Bleeker, blaming his lack of attention for the demise of the relationship. She also feels very judged and stereotyped by the townspeople for her pregnancy at sixteen and is tired of feeling belittled by Bleekers' mum. The dialogue between the two characters is emotional with lines such as “Unshed tears made my throat ache and my eyes throb”, but very ‘Juno’ as well which helped take you back the movie. I could imagine the scene being acted out it was so well written. Something tells me that this isn’t over however and I think the two characters will get back together. The author has written several chapters and I’m tempted to continue reading to find out if this is the case!


The Truman Show “The End is Where We Start From”

Truman has left the lie that was his former life as star of The Truman Show and is now in the real world. Sylvia, the woman who tried to tell him the truth is with him in the real world now and intends to help him get his new life on track. He starts by enlisting the help of a lawyer to sue the actors and of course the maker of The Truman Show for civil rights abuse and help him gain creative control of his own life. The entry also details Truman experiencing real love with Sylvia and asking her to marry him for real in Vegas. He decides to travel and see the real world in addition to making it his mission to stop this from ever happening to another innocent child again. It was awesome reading about what might have occurred as the movie doesn’t divulge any information about Trumans new life in the real world and I had always wished that there was a sequel to the story.

The Truman Show “The Show Must Go On”

This fanfic describes Christof (the maker of The Truman Show) starting a new show with a new star and a fresh world. Truman Burbank had lived in an artificial town called Seahaven for thirty years with no idea that his entire life was being manipulated by actors and followed by cameras 24/7. Now that Truman is free after an unexpected escape, Christof has decided to make a new show that will be even bigger and better than before. The idea of a fresh series starting with the birth of a new character isn’t a farfetched concept but makes for an interesting fan fiction. Who will be the next Truman? The ending was also very mysterious, “I was one of them who watched that very first episode and I'll be one of them who watch the very last. You won't be though; you'll be starring in it…” What does the author mean by this? Sounds like the beginning of a very interesting line of fan fiction.

Therefore, I have curiosity continue to read this story. At the end of the fan fiction, I know that guy is who finally. He is Carter Baizen. This result really surprised me. Why is him? However this result is reasonable. A business deal between Blair Waldorf and Carter Bainzen, it must be an interesting business deal.
